"Hey, I told you not to worry about it alright? Hadnar promised it was going to be fine! So stop with the hesitation and hold your ground!"
"Don't lie to me, you can't sense him either, can you? You can't sense anyone. Hadnar can't handle everything, and neither can you! We have to turn back; once we have everyone back together, then we'll..."
"But we only need five minutes! Five minutes! We can't abandon them, not when we're this close!"
"We're not abandoning them, who's going to save them if we get captured!? You don't have enough power to breach extra gates, we still need strength to protect the..."
"D*** it Naomi, we've never lost before, and we're not going to now! Who cares how many there are? We've gotten out of worse situations than this; and I'll kill anyone who dares come near us! But if you're such a chicken, make yourself useful and tell Hadnar I'll get them out! I'll take them all, with or without you."
"...But they're everywhere...I don't want you to get hurt..." "I already told you I'm not going to lose. Do you trust me or not?
...
Agh, whatever. I'm leaving. Do what you want."
"...I...I'm not letting you go by yourself!"

There....could you hear it? That dreadful clamber...the summoning of the Dark Messenger. At least the artifacts created by man to call upon it...weapons relied upon since early days to clear their path and cast aside any who dared cross it. Steel and thunder...they echoed within the walls...waves resounding across the architecture and ever so conveniently into the ears of the destined. A ominous warning having come too late...the same steel which muffed the sounds and rechanneled the echos now readied itself to serve the creator's will. The same as it had long ago...the same shining rifles and pounding footsteps had come to reclaim what had escaped them.
[...It's kind of funny really...maybe he's rubbed off on me a bit. So stubborn and reckless...so prideful as to repeat the same mistakes...]
She looked toward the door she had passed through with evident regret. Her grip tightened on the PDA within her hand, and soon some of it was transferred to the staff he held at her side. Five minutes...this timeframe was surely haunting her.
[...Well Fenrir...looks as if you've given me a lot to think about...even if I don't have the time. I've got what I wanted...but at what cost? Five minutes...would missing them be something I'd regret?
.....
I don't like this...this room is easy to defend....but I'm like a bear tied to a stake. There's no gray matter in this...simply break free or die.]
The enomity of the situation could not be allowed to intimidate nor overcome. Those five minutes might have been scant, but they were precious to her...they might be precious to those that remained waiting at the Aura Academy. And despite the price she would have to pay to aquire them, she couldn't deny the fact that she wouldn't take it back. After all, it was for Fenrir, so was it worth it? She didn't have to ask.
[...I guess after a solid five minutes, I should have enough leeway to escape...I don't know what these SOLDIERS are capable of, but I have to try something...
And I'll do it with or without you.]
A chance for redemption...even if it was discovered by a loss of breath and unmanaged adrenaline. She would calm herself and take apart the opposition piece by piece...don't get ahead of yourself. It can be done, it almost was. You're stronger than you were before, you can rely on yourself. And you don't have to worry about anyone else...there's no chance for anyone to get hurt...
She pressed her back against the wall, barracading the door with her own energies. She would play things out defensively..find out what they were about, then plan her escape quietly. For now, there would be the dreadful stillness and hum of scanners, the clinking of metal upon metal and the hushed breaths as everyone knew what was to unfold. Even if it was merely a brief moment, it would be an extrodinary experience. Even if brief, it's prevalence could remain for years, living in the psyche to alter the twenty seconds, twenty years, seventy years hat awaited beyond.
Even if it only lasted five minutes, such a moment could be monumental. She would not underestimate the significance of a single point in time.

Theme: Truth Behind the Project *Crisis Core: FF VII* "Do you hear that? You bring death; he brings death, yet he brings them salvation, whilst you only draw them to damnation. He provides hope, and you are the harbinger of despair...Hmph...How the mind can become so twisted and corrupted...this is the danger of the darkness. Even those who do not deal in the arts of Dark Aura are susceptable to this corruption. No one is exempt or immune from this curse...not even you, Aiden."__________________________________________________________________________________________ "Is that your view of hope...death? Do you think that through death, they will experience true life? Death only begets misery, and pain, and suffering. Death harbors fear, not hope. Anyone who is foolish enough to believe any different, is blind to the truth. Have you fallen that far into the darkness?" The earth, mere seconds away, and Aiden could provide no further conversation. A pivotal question did, however, run through his mind as he prepared his own landing: What was his plan? Aiden couldn't refute Caden's malicious intentions without a path of his own. The original idea was to infiltrate Midgar and assassinate the Deepground hierarchy, the Tsviets, and then let the armies of other countries take out the DG SOLDIERS while they suffered the disadvantage of their lack of command. This, however, did not take into consideration Creed and his enigmatic emperor, Erebus. The combination of Aiden and Caden was unable to even scratch the armor of the Dark Courier. Maybe with everyone's assistance, Creed could be managed with, but Erebus...It would be too convenient to think that he was simply a manipulator and had no strength: Creed wasn't the type to be persuaded by mere promises. A plan...He needed a plan!...No...They needed a plan. Aiden may be the so-called "leader" of this mission, but now he had every intention of being the leader. Making every decision by himself would be one of the worst mistake he could make: That mistake probably contributed to the mess he was in now. He needed a plan, but he needed the help of the others to carry it out. Right now, he couldn't focus on a response to Caden concerning a plan. Caden was the problem that required all attention. __________________________________________________________________________________________ "I...I have to fight, don't I?" "If there was any other way...but there isn't. Everyone on that ship needs you, just as you need everyone on that ship. And Kamille...you still have too much you need to tell her. You have too much to live for...to much at stake to let Caden exact his will upon the world..."The Aiden in the dark robe slowly raised his hand into the air, just as the Seraph had done previously. Dark Aura energy gathered within his palm, taking the form of another keyblade. This blade was similar to Aiden's Way of the Dawn, yet...it was different. A trim of blue edged the blade, ordained with a black wing. However, the most prominent aspect of the blade was the keychain that dangled from the hilt. It was an emblem familiar to those like Aiden. "That's...the emblem of SOLDIER..." " Aiden...Zack wasn't fond of what SOLDIER became either, but he still had honor, he still had strength, and he still had honor in SOLDIER. He died...fighting for what he believed in. The odds were unfathomable: the entire Shinra army faced him. He could have ran, but you knew why he didn't: he was protecting his friend. You were one of the few to figure that out...Zack...Angeal...Cloud...Genesis...Are you going to let this man tranish the nam of SOLDIER?"Aiden glanced upwards at his dark embodiment. Thoughts of his friends, especially those who have passed on, brought a tear or two to his face, but he held them back. Words of his fallen companion echoed through his thoughts: "Embrace your dreams.... and... whatever happens... Protect your honor as SOLDIER!"__________________________________________________________________________________________ He directed his path towards a section of the wooded area, a couple hundred yards away from where Caden would land. It was far away enough to formulate his next set of actions, yet close enough to be within earshot of each other. Grant it, they would have to yell, but that wasn't Aiden's concern. The boy looked towards the sky, holding the pearl-hued keyblade in his left had while his right remained void. A tear or two strolled down his face, but they were quickly wiped away. He took a deep breath before straightening his posture, tensing his muscles, preparing for the bitter and final blows of this fight. "I've come to far to give up... Too many have come before me and given up so much for me... I can't die... I...I refuse to die! Not now! Caden...Whoever this Jaeger is...I refuse to let him control you. You've fallen into the darkness...I have to bring you out...even if it means going into that darkness...and drag you out unconscious! I promise you that, as the first part of my plan."____________________________________________________________________________________________ The boy slowly nodded his head as the cloaked figure held the blade towards him. Aiden slowly raised his hands towards the blade. He was ready to use the gifts he had been given. He was ready to embrace who he was, to embrace his own dreams...to protect his honor as SOLDIER. The blade was mere inches away from his hands... "Mwhahahaha! What a speech, what a speech! Encore! Encore!!!" A sudden, unexpected surge of energy rushed through Aiden like a violent flash flood. The boy shuddered back in shock, almost in pain. The dark cladded figure withdrew the blade, staggering upon the surge. This was a surge that was not bound to Aiden's psyche, but the voice was one only spoken to the boy. The surge could be sensed by all who were within the area...no, all who were on the continent who were sensitive to Aura. The pulse was powerful, and it was dark...A pulse of pure, malicious darkness. "What was that?" Aiden called out. "Hahaha...That was quite the statement young Shadeling, but...can you uphold that promise? Or...will you be consumed as well? It'd be a true shame if something terrible were to befall you...before I take away everything you cherish..." The voice was so...twisted...words couldn't explain the tone: It was a voice the heralded a horrific nocturne; a tone that sang a deathly requiem. It sent an indescribable shiver up the SOLDIER'S spine. The boy seemed startled, unsure of what to do: the cloaked figure glanced around the area, standing straight and unwavering. "Who are you, and how did you get here? ...Show yourself!" "I...am the true and only Absolute..." ((Those Chosen by the Planet. FF VII)) www.youtube.com/watch?v=_C77Eaq3CDQ The dark entity revealed his hideous, black aura: No longer having the slightest intentions of hiding himself from the boy. The pressence of a different and new aura drew Aiden's attention to a lone figure, standing amidst the shadows, which blended perfectly with his sin-black hair. The man stood relaxed in his full-suit armor, as if enjoying what he was doing, taking pleasure among the darkness. He put most of his attention on the boy, though his eyes were not visible the boy could feel the man's gaze pierce him. No part of his flesh could be seen with the exception of his ears, which had a haunting grey hue to them. "I am Darkness incarnate...I am eternal...I am life...and death... My followers call me Lord... My disciples call me Emperor... I...am the god of the Dark Realm...and soon...the god of this realm as well..." The Aiden garbed in the black garments slowly raised the SOLDIER keyblade to a defensive position, unsure what this new arrival's intentions. Aiden the boy stood to his feet, holding the white keyblade in a similar manner his dark form had taken. Fighting someone who Aura eminated as strongly as this monster's Aura alone would be suicidal. "So...It's you...the one Creed speaks so highly of...You're the real cause of this mess..."The so-called 'Emperor of Darkness'...Erebus!"

"...How....how does he expect me to do this? My power...it's grown considerably...but control...without an inhibitor...
I can't give up...I vowed I would prevail, so why can't I? This void...this emptiness...what was faux is becoming very real...but why...
D***** parasites...makes sense they'd have no path to glory other than leeching off those who exude it."
The silence in the waving blade was deceptive. And even more than that. The distance between the fighters was aggravating...the thoughts of what might be more so than the condition itself. And here he was being a fool and wasting the temporary boon he'd been granted. Strength of years past wa quickly fading...Caden had forgotten how it was to sacrifice time. How much did he have left to accomplish his mission? He couldn't afford to buy any more potential than he already had if he'd hoped to put it to use.
Sense turned to detecting where his opponent was...the elements around him perfect for this task. He looked to his blade and his injured limb in indecision...a status he openly despised. He could still push himself further...a even less recognizable distortion of what he was. He could try for another transformation. But striking the essential balance for borrowing enough to be lethal if provoked and maintaining sovereignty over his own being would be difficult. Before he could determine the answer to how he should approach the dilemma, activity radiating from Aiden's location hit him with impulsion, and he found it acceptable to delay the decision until a little further in to the final confrontation. The presence set him to running, furious at Aiden and himself for introducing yet another wild card. If one might see him, they could note how the internal force granting his power were becoming prevalent in his features.
[How dare you...how dare you permit a foreign entity to witness our battle! Neither may be forgiven!
Mace Swallowtail drawn at the side, body angled low to the ground to reduce drag; he was on the offensive again, and intent to top was behind him. The increased power had momentarily taken advantage of his reason, leaving his struggling psyche grappling to regain control of the reins. But it did not prevent him from reaching the site before he'd ability to cope with it. His foe and new quarry before him...it was humiliating to haphazardly flash in and out of control. He was there, he had to seize the moment! D*** those parasitic guardians, d*** them!
"Why do you allow him to interfere?! And from whence has he come?! Anwer me, you worthless corpse!"
Those piercing eyes paszed between the new form and Aiden, sometime flashing with pure animalitic furor, and at other times with recognicion. It eemed as if he would revert into Jaeger at any minute, but there was one thing definate to it all. Regardless of his knowledge of the ituation, deswire to overcome was very apparent. If only he could pull things together before he did anything stupid. Gaze was fixated upon the dark being without hesitation, though it was indeterminable whether it was bravery or insanity fueling his calm.
"I will not permit it....I will not...permit...
...Who....the h***...pops up...in abandoned....fie..lds....and proclaims...to be....dei..ty..."
His speech was broken, but intent was clear. He couldn't cate less for spontaneous high and mighty, and he had all intent of going through him to if it meant getting to Aiden. He was to fight until nothing remained, but whether he lasted that long remained to be said. To survive when you'd no capability of aquiring knowledge of what you were up against is difficult indeed. He would have to hope he could regain control before things got out of hand...

Seymour's Ambition (FF X) The WEAPON hybrid stared at the seemingly empty mask of the wraith-like dictator. The entity stood an a psychotically calm fashion; his arms dangling peacfully from his sides yet his Aura spewing out pure malicious intentions. Truly, this was a horrific and sickening sight for any to behold, yet Aiden managed to keep his own psyche together. "No need to be so stiff: I'm not here to kill you yet.""What do you want?""I can't just stop by to say hello to my favorite Shadeling? Hmm...Guess you are having a rather difficult time, aren't you?" Erebus crossed his arms as he glanced behind him, as if noticing something charging towards him. "He makes for an excellent puppet, you know?""What do you mean?""He executes my will perfectly, without me having to so much as utter a single command. Caden would make an excellent replacement for Creed: That man is so stubborn...Anyways, I guess I shouldn't let this moment fade without accomplishing something."[/purple] "And what would be that something?" "A chance to end all the suffering, my dear Aiden." Aiden watched as the hellish fiend began to pace about. The thought af having such a monstrocity walking freely through his mind was terrifying to Aiden, but Erebus's Aura was proof that there wasn't much he could do at the moment. Both the embodiments of Aiden stood by, each holding a keyblade tightly. "You've all been through so much recently. The appearance of Deepground; Creed's strikes against the Academy; the destruction of Soaring City; and now all this, turmoil within your own ranks. It's a real shame: you all could be so much more than this, and I can offer you true redemption, all of you. None fall short of my mercy, unlike your so-called ally and friend who is trying his best to see your through your demise personally. I have, a simple dream, and I'm not one to beat around the bush. You see, Sir Aaron gave me plenty of time in the Dark Realm to think; 1,000 years to be exact, and I have discovered the origin of strife. On one side of the grand picture of existance, we have Light, and on the other is Darkness. There is life, and there is death. To every thesis, is an anti-thesis. There's so much competition, and this competition for dominance creates only havoc, for both sides. True harmony between light and darkness is impossible, and as long as both exist, we cannot live in peace, but only in turmoil and despair. The fusion of light and darkness brings pain; life cannot co-exist with death; our suffering is the synthesis of light and darkness. Therefore, it's only logical: Erase the existance of one element, and you cease the synthesizing process. What can you have if there is no competition? Simple: Union; harmony; peace...And that is my goal, Aiden. Erase the existance of light, and only the darkness will remain. There would be no competition: Only one absolute would rule supreme, without question or resistance. All would be equal; all would come into true harmony under one absolute. Do you see now? Have I made the path clear to you now?" "...You're worse than Caden..." The boy took a few steps out towards the phantom, passing his robed counterpart, thus showing more strength in his resolve. He knew that a powerful and evil creature stood before him: One that he could not yet hope to topple, but he was able to muster up the strength to at least stand against him. "How do you think darkness can exist without light? Shadows only exist because of light. Without the light, nothing will exist! Death only exists because of life; without life, not even death will exist. Your goal's only synthesis, will be a true Oblivion: A realm that does not exist." "...And here I thought you might be able to understand...*sigh* What a shame. The light of this realm has corrupted you, young Shadeling. It has blinded you from the truth and has only brought you misery...yet you choose, by your own strength and will, to bask around in this wretched light. Oblivious to who you truly are and what you are capable of...what a waste of matter..." "I know who I am. You are the one who has let the Darkness blind you! You can't even see the faults of your own dreams!" "You really believe you know who you are?! Hahahaha! Then tell me: Who are you?" "I'm Aiden: SOLDIER. 1st cla-" "Ahahaha! That is incorrect! You see? This light you cling to has corrupted your mind. You continue to tell yourself these lies, even when you have been told what you are by that which has created you!" "Wha...What are you talking about?" "Don't act so naive...but you are going to anyways I see. Fine: I guess I must remind you of what you are, since you will never achieve your full potential until then." The dark emperor faded out of sight, only to appear beside the boy. He showed no intent of striking, yet both the boy and the robed figure took a defensive position accordingly. Erebus waved his hand as he began pulling images from Aiden's mind. Again the Shadow Lord revealed his might, which put an unsettling pit within Aiden's stomach. The image showed that of another frightening face that Aiden wished to never see again, yet this figure was not known for his strength, but for his sheer sociopathic view of life and science. "Hojo..." "Yes, now this man was crazy, was he not? But he was brilliant at the same time. It's a shame his insanity led to his downfall. But he was able to perform what others could only dream of performing. He was even able to figure out what you are. He was able to bring Sephiroth to life, and even your precious Fenrir. Sure, there were a few bumps along the way, yet he could give power of unimaginable proportions...except to you, which drove him mad. You were his number 1 failed experiment for the longest time: he couldn't get one Jenova cell within you and couldn't figure out why! But...you knew...you knew good and well why nothing was working." "The voice..." "Yes, the Voice...that wretched, abomidable voice. Both you and I know who that voice belongs to...The Planet." "No...it couldn't be...That Planet has no reason to speak to me..." "Oh, but it does...You see...You wish not to be called a tool or a weapon...but that's, exactly what you are..." "W...WEAPON..." "Yes, Aiden! You have been blessed by the Planet. You are 'one who is roused to destroy that which ills the Planet.' You've known for so long, but you would rather be a monster known as SOLDIER than be a monster known as WEAPON." Erebus faded once again to stand in his initial spot, several yards away from Aiden. He held out his hands and arms wide, looking towards the distraught boy. "The life you seek, you cannot obtain. It is impossible. If you truly wish for the best, for you and those you cherish, then you will take the upmost care to heed my next words... Join me, my Shadeling." "What?!" (To be continued.)

Seymour's Ambition (FF X) The malicious marauder waved his hand in the air once again, bring up another image, yet this image was unfamiliar to Aiden. In fact, it appeared to be an event occuring in real time. It showed a young girl, barricaded in a small room. On the other side of the locked door was serveral troops garbed in Deepground armor, all which carried guns or swords. The sight of the guns and the SOLDIERS made the boy's hand tremble, only as he thought about the face of the girl. "I can save her..." His words grabbed Aiden's attention, but not his eyes. His vision was locked onto the images before him. He stood the motionless, afraid that his movements could give vause for the SOLDIERS to advance at any second. "I am able to save her...to save you all from this nightmare. I can wipe Deepground away from the face of the cosmos, and even from your mind, if you wish it so. The life you all so desire can only be obtained through me. I can give you all what you desire: You, her, Caden, Fenrir, Rhea, Ryan, Kira, Aven...Humans and Raiken, SOLDIER and WEAPON... all can exist peacefully. You, Aiden, can be the stepping stone to their eternal joy...or the pit that will throw them into eternal despair! So...what will it be? Joy...or despair-What?" "You're Not Alone!" (FF IX) Erebus had no time to finish his sentence with the questioning tone. The boy had already reached behind him and placed his hand around the hilt of the SOLDIER'S blade, and had already began his assault. Erebus was actually shocked to see a reaction so quickly. He was expecting such a response, but not this fast; it was almost unexpected. The young warrior dug the blades into the ground as he ran; sparks emitting from the dragging weapons. True, solid determination and strength coursed through the sky-blue hues, and the first to see it was the Emperor himself. The Shadeling sprung towards his foe, holding nothing back. He drew the white Keyblade first, only to be stopped by the hand of Erebus. Aiden knew that he would be no match for the phantom in his current state; Erebus stood just as calmly, not trembling in the slightest to hold the blade back. But Aiden was going to make his own intentions known. He was going to voice his answer in a unwavering manner, making sure to get his point across. "Join you? Never...I won't even consider it. I know you're wrong, and what you are doing is evil, and I won't allow it. You can say how much joy we could obtain all you want, but we know that misery is all that awaits us in the end. No...I've come too far to give into you, or Caden, or anyone else. We all have. We have all sacrificed something to fight against our own sorrows and pains. I'm sure everyone one that ship, and all those not with us have at one point been given a chance to end their pain and sorrows through death...but they have chosen to live, to fight their fears and sorrows to previal against them, and I will do the same. I will fight against my sorrows; I will fight with their sorrows...and I will win, or die trying. But I will not die in a false sense of hope. And I will not give into your demands like a dog...I will face my demise with honor, as a Guardian of Aura, as SOLDIER...as WEAPON." "Pathetic! You have no strength in your to strike me, yet you will defy me?! Fool! I offer you salvation! I offer you life eternal in darkness! I have given you the truth, and yet you throw it back in my face?! You would throw away the chance to gain your loved ones eternal joy for your own views?!" "Whether your words, are lies made to decieve me...or the truth I have been searching for all my life...It doesn't matter. You will rot." Aiden raised the other blade into the air, ready to strike again. As he prepared his blow, the robed firgure of darkness began to fade. As so, before he faded completely, his hood lost it's grip, revealing the face of a true SOLDIER and the grin he bared. His grin matched perfectly with the brilliant pair of glowing blue eyes as he faded away. All that was left was Aiden as a whole now; one who accepted all he was and all there was to him. The WEAPON/human hybrid brought down his blade with all his might, only to be thwarted by the other hand of the Emperor. Aiden continued to push, continued to defy this dark entity, yet to no avail. But Erebus made no intentions to counter his foe: He only shook his head as an eerie chuckled escaped his mask. This only made Aiden push harder, yet he still did not prevail. As a final show of defiance to the will of another, the SOLDIER called upon the Adamant to take its armored form around the boy. Two wings became six, and a SOLDIER took the form of a WEAPON. Erebus did not move, nor did he feel any bit exhausted, but he was intrigued by the form in front of him. Finally, Erebus released his grip on the blades, only to fade from sight before the weapons could strike his body. The Emperor appeared several feet away from the Seraph, also several yards above him. The adamant creature gazed towards the fiend, both blades gripped tightly in his palms. Erebus let out another chuckle upon the site, glancing down at this WEAPON...A WEAPON adorned by the veins of darkness. The cracks of shadows brimming with the Dark Aura energy of long ago. "So be it...'Guardian.' I will allow you all to play your game a while longer. I'm interested to see how far you can get. Go ahead: Annihilate Deepground. But I can assure you this: Their destruction will mark the beginning of your own demise. Till we meet again." Erebus faded into the darkness without another word, yet his exit showed no signs of him taking any notice of his failure to recruit Aiden into his services. If anyone didn't know better: he seemed almost delighted, as if this action would being his some entertainment to come. Aiden accomplished what he needed to accomplish. He had come to terms with his identity; he had embraced his strengths and abilities; he had defied the will of another; he had found the will and determination to fight against those who would press their will against his and against his fears and sorrows. Now, there was only one thing left to finish before Aiden returned to the Shera.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
**Back to the fields** Aiden snapped back to reality in an instant, almost having no time to gather his thoughts before realizing the other warrior charging towards him. Caden was mere seconds away in reality, but again time seemed to pause for Aiden. The boy closed his eyes, letting an unusual calm flow through him, followed by a deep breath. "I've never been good with words, and I'm not sure I understand everything you've said. I'm pretty sure that I'm still confused on some things. I wish things didn't have to come down to this. I wish, that...someday, you will be able to call me your ally, your friend. But I see that no words of mine can change you here and now. I..I am a bit afraid. I fear what you have become, and what will happen if I do not stop you here. I hope that, someday, I too, can call you friend. But...that time is not now. Now, you are my enemy, and I must treat you as such. I cannot hold back...I cannot submit." "Challenge" (FF X) Aiden held out his right hand, letting the Dark Aura form into his unnamed keyblade. He first crossed his arms, letting the two keyblades hang from each side of his body: The pattern looked like that of an upside-down "V". He took his stance, and placed his hand on the bottom hilts of the blades. "If you ill the planet..." Aiden quickly opened his eyes, showing the vibrant blaze of Aura and Mako in his orbs. He uncrossed his arms, holding the right blade behind him and the other in front. The SOLDIER placed his foot against the back of the tree and pushed off with enough force to shatter the bark. His new keyblade emitted a fierce Dark Aura energy that englufed the weapon, ready to strike anything upon the will of its wielder. Whatever Caden was ready to deliver, Aiden would retaliate with everything his current form had to offer: His duty as a Guardian; his honor as SOLDIER; his strength as WEAPON; and his will, as Aiden Kaid. "then I must destroy you!"

Was this kid in the middle of a daydream? A voluntary stupor in attenpt to draw him off his guard? Perhaps the after effect of that entity that manifested, which may or may not resulted of his will? Whatever the case, Caden didn't care for it either way; the result is what intereted him.
As the crimson eyed Raiken crashed through the surrounding terrain, wallowtail carving through his opposition with no remorse, he could see the look in Aiden' features...those words were a god-send. Finally they were on the same page...to him long enough, but there he was. And Caden wasn't going to give him time to change his mind. These struggles with his own guardians were bad enough...to have to cope with Aiden on top of it all were near impossible if he let it get any worse.
Fourtyy yards...thirty yards...fifteen yards...the boy swung the massive swallowtail into the earth, sending a series of cresting shockwaves across the surface directly towards and to the side of his opponent, rising fangs of earth jutting out of the surface and contorting the landscape. All the while he maintained his drive...the distance soon to be closed off....only the opposition and himself remaining.
"You...you'll destroy me? Hahaha....ahahahahaha.....
Don't waste your breath. You never could, you never will...I am...this world's savior..."
With a final massive swing, and an outstretched hand, sonic waves intended to disorient shot forth...the ame effect as if a extremely high-pitched vocal were to enter one's ear drums. It did not demand a lot of energy, but knowing the potential in his first attack, a single contact could be devastating. Another demonstration of the sheer brute force Caden possessed...perhaps he had been more technical on board, but now that nothing around would be deprimental to destroy, his style had shifted to a lot more reckless and merciless fashion. Aiden was going to fight him? Aiden was going to destroy him? Nonsense. Sound in mind or not, Aiden had to be the inferior competitor, and by the laws governing existence, Caden would be the one to cull him out. He was of superior origin, training...it may be tough, but no matter the ending circumstance, Caden would not lose. He'd determined it from the start. That rash temperment might prove to be a boon or a setback in the coming opposition, but caden was willing to sacrifice all for this. He'd given his aid, sanity, even submitted fractions of his lifespan for this, and to lose now? He could never anyone ever again, not even himself. Judging by Aiden's demeanor now, he was prepared for an intense battle, and Caden was d*** sure ready to give it to him.
[And no place remains....for a broken vessel such as you.]

If one could've entered the dark depths of Shinra, grouped with the squadron of SOLDIERS and grew still with the intensity of the moment, perhaps you would notice many things. The soft hum of the research instruments within the sealed-off lab, the occassional prolonged breath of a fellow SOLDIER, very well aware of the weight of artillery in your arms. But had you ventured further and rested on the side of the pursued, joined the side of the barricade's creator, all that would be noted is the lack of time...and perhaps the odd sensation that you're being watched...even though that might simply result from the cameras likely posted about.
But that doesn't change the fact that you're there, and it doesn't change the fact that the SOLDIERs are waiting for you. It doesn't make that barricade any easier to hold up, nor does it allow for an easily accessed escape route to emerge before you. It doesn't grant one the power of teleportation, nor abundant strength to clear the path ahead. And it surely doesn't slow time's flow. So what then? What do you rely upon when reason brings no answers? When death may spread to more than one, how do you choose what to do with their lives? Perhaps it is made easier by the knowledge that no decision at all makes death inevitable...but it surely isn't enough to make the path clear.
"Hmm....they're not attacking yet...perhaps if I move quickly...by the time they raise fire..."
She looked to her palms for a moment as light gold embers began to dance upon them.
"...Who cares about the logic of it. If I'm fated to be stopped, so be it...
I'll just have to hope that isn't the case."
In a sense, it could be said her action were determined by fate, and perhap the false logic would allow her to act with confidence...just enough to prevail over this seemingly insurmountable obstacle. She never planned on giving up...and it would happen. There would be a difference between capture and defeat if it should be. They could try and trap within this cursed institution a long as they wished, she wouldn't make it easy on them.
And with purpose restored, the barricade suddenly shot down as a massive torrent of flame barreled toward the door, forced forth into the opposing crowd...hopefully to merge into the floor. Maybe the temporary barricade would grant the few seconds necessary to pull ahead...just a few seconds was all she needed...a barrier for average assault could be raised for forty seconds...just enough to turn the corner and get out of line of fire. But just to get through...just to get through that initial assault...forget everything but escape. That was the path and the mission.
She headed for the doorway with a great burst of speed, Uriel held out behind her to provide defense. She would wait for that deafening roar she feared and deal as best she could with it...she would be the challenge to overcome. It had to be made this ways...otherwise no hope for victory remained.
There was still time remaining....and now was the moment to make the best of it.

Theme: Arms of Shinra(DoC) www.youtube.com/watch?v=caSXxp7mp3kThe time for dreams has died, and could not be resurrected until this trial was over. A voluntary stupor? No: Aiden knew well what he was doing. He was living out his oath as a SOLDIER. He was carrying out his duty as a Guardian of Aura and the planet. Fighting in order to carry out the legacy of his family: his mother, father, and sister. Death was a failure to all the people he knew, and a victory for those such as Erebus. Death simply was not an option, and such was his motivation. Not once would Aiden show the slightest grin in battle: Such was not his nature. He didn't even dare give the impression that this was a result he desired. His eyes raged fierecly with Mako and Aura energy, but no enjoyment; no thrill; no lust for blood. His only desire was to end this match as quickly as possible, trying to prevent a mass of bloodshed. Yet the tools for his means of peace were ready to strike down Caden. If there was no other way to peace than through Caden's blood...so be it. "Savior? Hmph...How odd; that Planet disagrees with you, and so do I..."He had to have the strength to beat Caden, or at leats bring this fight to an end. If he truly was part WEAPON, then he could certainly do something. Concerting into his Seraph-like WEAPON form wouldn't be enough: Caden would simply counter with his own transformation into the Lyger form, or maybe something else. Nerve-shatter thoughts ran through his head about his next course of action. He had to pull out all the stops, but last time he had done so, it resulted in a bloodbath: 6 years ago. If he wanted convert to his original form of adamant and darkness, it would require more concentration this time around. As he figured: Fighting Caden while slowly undergoing his transformation shouldn't be a problem. However, the true trial would commence once his opponent realized the metamorphesis. Caden was already provong that he didn't care how ballistic of a assault he engaged: He had no intentions of holding back, even at the cost of his mind. If he let that Jaeger take over and transformed, the SOLDIER would have to rush his own transformation, and every second was precious in making sure his own mind stayed entact, or else the battle would simply rage between two mindless beasts. That also was not an option, even if no one else was there to witness the fight. Aiden wouldn't be able to face Fenrir, Kamille, anyone without knowing he had allowed himself to become a crazed monster in battle. He had every intention to keep his honor and mind intact. The boy cringed as he saw that jagged edges of earth spring upwards: It was as if he could hear the planet's cries of pain. Aiden muttered a silent apology for the future, as he knew he too would most likely have a hand in manipulating the battlefield's form. The first assault wasn't so dangerous as the second. Anything piece of earth that shot out too close was cut short by the adamant that normally protected the boy. It seemed the ability also recieved a jolt of energy, reviving it to its normal state. However, the adamant was not as effective on the sonic waves, which threw Aiden into a disorientated state. He still remained on course, though his dodging of the center wave of earth was slightly off. Aiden moved to the left side, receivingwhat would have been minimal to moderate damage on his right arm. The sleeve of his clothing was ripped to shreds and flung off, only to reveal a arm's length of adamant casing. Aiden gave no attention to the adamant, not even to the black veins that covered the adamant. The shrill was soon shaken off, as Aiden manipulated the Aura around him to reflect the waves away from his cranium. As for his retaliation, he drew back the onyx blade, filling it with Dark Aura, the swinging it forward, sending out lashes of paper-thin energy waves. The arcs were wide and flashed ahead of Aiden towards their intended target. His only option for a second maneuver was to strike head on. He managed to get out four waves of the Dark Aura, and by the time the fifth would come, a physical confrontation was inevitable, unless one of the two decided to dodge out of the way. But Aiden was done dodging his problems: He wanted to take this match head on. Aiden preferred to not leave much space between himself and Caden. He didn't want the boy to have too much tim to transform should he see the need to. Aiden's left arm was visible, shoing the black-cracked adamanr, and his left arm showed similar feature, though it was hidden by the sleeve. The tainted substance was making its way past Aiden jaw and his neck, heading upwards to form another means of protection. All Aiden needed was a couple more minutes.

Theme: Arms of Shinra(DoC) www.youtube.com/watch?v=caSXxp7mp3k"Don't let her escape! Fire!" Pandemonium and chaos broke free as the girl broke down her own barrier, causing slight confusion and disorientation amongst the troops. Those further away from the door were able to react much quicker, being the first to fire their rifles. Those closer to the small explosion were late in reacting, gathering their senses instead of firing blinding into the fire. Several SOLDIERS began to fight and break through the barricade instead of firing, either because they were caught under the rubble or were taking preemptive measures should a pursuit arise. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Hmph. If you think you are getting out alive darling, then you are sadly mistaken."A woman wrapped in crimson garments watched the action fro a camera feed in a security room one level below. Several other DG SOLDIERS manned the cameras or served as sentries. They watched as Naomi broke out of her predicament, only to try to escape another. "Sir, we are ready to send in the- Sir?" One SOLDIER turned around his seat, catching the woman before she had left the room. "Sir!?" "Guide her to the Foyer: I will deal with the darling little wretch myself. It doesn't matter how you do it: This mansion is of no further use to us."The crimson woman walked out of the room, last seen by the sentries unclipping the dual-bladed weapon she carried on the back of her waist. The SOLDIERS entered a code into the network of their own kind. Without a word, a part of the mansion began shaking, and a mechanical beast was unleashed. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Several seconds after the breakout, a spider-like machine appeared on the opposite side of the hallway. Its optic sensors picked up the identity scan of the intruder, and soon after fired several rounds of its mounted machine gun towards the girl. But once it saw that Naomi was making an escape towards another hallway, the weapon made calculations according to the layout of the mansion and the girl's current heading. After that, the machine turned around and started heading in another direction. Knowing the objective, it was taking every measure to seal off any exit it came by, even the end of the hallway it was just in, making it so that the SOLDIERS had no choice but to pursue the girl. Every possible exit that was scanned was soon obliterated by a massive energy beam the Black Widow carried. It knew that Naomi could possibly find a way to exit the manor without the Foyer, but it still moved efficiently, following the orders that were sent to its hard drive. However, something was wrong after the Black Widow sent a distress signal to the operator. "Warning: Warning: 2 unauthorized heat signatures detected. Pursuing primary objective." There weren't suppose to be 2 unauthorized heat signatures. Naomi should have been the only person inside that was not of Deepground. Apparently, she wasn't alone, but who was this other intruder?

Nothing constructive could ever arise from a case such a this. For the boy's desires did not include preservation of his surroundings...they consisted of scarlet glory and a crying mother earth. He meant to leave gashes both upon Aiden and the soil. He wanted to leave both fallen with dead tears...he wanted those who followed their path to weep for the horror commited here and realize just how magnificent his powers were.
But first, he would have to land an attack..he would have to strike enough blow to low him down. He had to endure through the coming set of hardships and be productive that the next string of agression could proceed without upset. Every missed attack brought him further fury...but as he finally managed to connect a stray earth fang, internally his mind called out with a renewed HAH! He could still be struck...it might not have been the best of impacts, but he'd managed to land one. He could land more....he could tear him apart! The posibilities were endless, and he revelled in conidering each. That was until he'd noticed the adamant casing on Aiden' arm, the vein of darkness steadily creeping about his form....like poison in the veins it gradually made its way through the bloodsteam, moving into the limbs, the core, the brain; Caden would have to hope these current of dark force did not take away his reget. It was much easier to fight when one's heart was not fully into the battle.
But looking at him now, it wa eay to determine that this wasn't the case. Aiden shortly shook off the effects of that sonic wave technique, and retaliated with his own string of Dark Aura Waves. These could be far more dangerous than those sound distortions could be. With a determined cry, impassioned further from the knowledge Aiden was just a eager to fight, he drew the swallowtail forth and cleaved through the coming blades, occassionally grimacing as those he could not block pierced his form. He blocked one, only for one to collide slightly above the knee. Blocked one more...another enters the upper arm and continues to skate past. The last was still on its way to the destination, but Caden cared little for its significance now. He was nearing a hostile range between him and Aiden, and as the Dark Aura grazed across his face, just mising the eye, the path was clear and his rivial in his sights. This was it...d*** the adamant, d*** the streaming wounds, the target was in range and death was far overdue. Caden voiced a roar announcing his impulsion and brought the swallowtail around with a heavy swing, the mace facing the opponent rather than the blade. This was for blunt damage, to simply clean dislodge Aiden's footing and open up further opportunity. But Aiden was smarter than that...he was stronger than that and Caden didn't know what he would do to counter it. Whatever it was, he looked foward to it. This battle was shaping up to be one to remember. The swallowtail continued to follow its path, and Caden retained his bold approach into close quarters. It was Aiden's turn to act, and Caden awaited the preformance gladly.

Theme: Arms of Shinra(DoC) www.youtube.com/watch?v=caSXxp7mp3k "Yes Caden...Show him who the true Absolute really is..." The battle continued to grow even more grim with every passing second. With both warriors now out for blood, this was truly appearing as a fight to the death, and a death was the last thing this team and the Academy needed on their hands at the time. But unless another options miraculously presented itself here soon, someone would soon find this very field their final resting place. The adamant only continued to rapidly engluf his body, yet his movements were fluid and clean, as if he had no restrictions binding him. Aiden could only guess that this sight was antagonizing the beast within Caden more and more; he was somewhat surprised that the warrior had not taken to his Lyger form yet, even upon noticing his new adamant features. A stroke of luck, or another reason to worry? A new reason to worry was starting to come closer and closer: Their Auras were faint, but those on the Shera were starting to come into sight by the means of Aura. What were they thinking!? Caden were balistic as sent his attackers on a brawl simply because Cyre took hold of the poke balls Aiden rid himself of before they fell. If they came back before this was finished...Hopefully, they had the mind to stay far away from the field. If they got close enough to watch, who knows how Caden, or Jaeger, would react, but it would most likely turn out devastating. Aiden watched the Swallowtail come towards him, but he could tell quickly that neither of his blades were the intended target. Countering the blade with the black Keyblade would be difficult, but he would rather defend with the white counterpart: He was ready to use each blade to its fullest potential, and find out just what this onyx blade was capable of dealing. It seemed the black Keyblade had more abilities for offensive maneuvers and had many traces of Dark Aura within the metal. his white Keyblade seemed to be based more from the Adamantine, therefore was better used for defense. Now it was time to put both to the test. He would have to prepare quickly if he wanted a chance to retaliate, and so the SOLDIER emblemed blade was covered in Dark Aura, swirling around the blade as it waited for the master who controlled it. The Pearl-hued blade was raised in defense for the Swallowtail, while he drew the black keyblade into the air. However, instead of striking down onto his opponent, he too had a different target. He thrust the blade downwards, striking the ground behind him. The Dark Aura the swilred the blade left for the ground and began swilring underneath their position. Caden gave him an opprotunity to counter, and it was bothering Aiden as to why, but he had a counter method in mind, planning to get Caden a short distance away from him. In terms of brute strength, Caden was the stronger opponent, and that's why Aiden had to be stronger in terms of his Aura and Adamant capabilities. By this time, the Adamantine had covered the lower half of his face, forming a mask of a sort, and the complete helm was only moments away from completion. He was moments away from taking a form thought cursed for six years. Aiden wasn't sure how it would turn out once the transformation was complete, but he didn't have the time to think. He just had to act. The Dark Aura underneath was starting to erupt upwards, ready to engluf both warriors, though the attack would not harm Aiden. Would Caden take the attack or evade was almost unpredictable in the boy's current state of mind. All his movements were had to determine until they were in action. Aiden had no doubt that his new upcoming form could match up against Caden in his most powerful form: Controlling the power was the issue, if lucky, an issue only Caden would have to deal with, and before the Shera returned.

Leaving that underground chamber was one of the more daring manuvers she'd made in her life, but judging by what she faced now, she wasn't sure if it was the wisest. She wasn't sure exactly how many seconds shed had after she first broke through, but there were certainly more SOLDIERs than she'd hoped to see, and more than a single barrier could overwhelm. Some had managed to move to the sides and resume activity immediately. Even so, she felt as if she was doing better than she might've, considering the numbers that remained behind her.
As long as they didn't start to intenify pursuit, it seemed quite possible that she'd be able to get a lead. Numbers were certainly on their side, but the narrow hallways offered a ditinct advantage in that only a certain of force could be used at once. It wasn't as if the SOLDIERS would be shooting through their comrades, and knowing she had an advantage when it came to covering ground was a significant boost for her chances of success. The end of the hallway, not much farther now...the artillery was snapping at her heel from behind, but once she rounded the corner it would be be too late for them.
But the quake had not been factored into her plan...the realization ground covered was lost had not been part of the plan. The chill of bullets whose trajectory only narrowly missed one's ear was nothing compared to this new entity. All that speed was roughly brought into an unorganized halt a she looked down the new adversary, which happened to resemble a cross between a tank and a spider. What a fine premonition. She would have to do her best not to think about the scopes and firepower, and rather continue past into clear territory.
It did not take long for her to realize there was a trend to this creature's attacks. Several times she'd stopped to retaliate with an attack of her own, most often one of those fire-based seeker panels that operated like a controllable land mine and struck upon the slightest pressure. But no matter what she tried, trying to hold of the full force of its attacks was unsound. The horrid creation would simply reel back with a new beam, and send her hustling to the next region of the mansion. However, there were times when taking a particular direction, that the machine would pursue, but not retaliate. As if taking a certain route was permissible, and others forbidden.
"...This thing has no regret about destroying the building if it gets me to move where it wants. I can't let it destroy all the records. But if I go ahead and follow...it'll get me just where it wants..."
She didn't have much time to consider the option before the machine assaulted the building with another plasma cannon, effective encouragement to move surely, but far from positive.
"...If this building is destroyed, then all of those records will be lost...it's not worth the risk...."
Again the sentry approached, and again Naomi would avoid it's attacks. But the girl was following the will of the machine now, moving as fast as she could to reach the area it intended while conserving her energy. Her path seemed to nearly reflect the one from whence she came, destination becoming more and more apparent. A sigh was made in frustration, for the knpowledge in the meantime, her direction was to be determined by the ranks of Deepground.
"If it's going to guide me, it had better be quick about it. Attacking less will allow me to make up for lost time..."
The foyer was nearly before her and she slowed her tread accordingly, also becuase she was growing less aware of the cannon mecha's exact location. She would move cautiously from this point...after all, the timing of her arrival couldn't be any worse. Little knowledge was aquired of what to expect, but she knew what he would bring to the table, and would ensure all others were aware if it as well.
"Know now that I refuse to be hunted. Know that if you choose to act in aggression, I'll have no choice but to retaliate. And know that I fear no elitist coward who offers peons from afar."
Mentally, she cringed a bit knowing that a bad situation could worsen the conflict between Caden and Aiden, but it was a risk that must be taken. After all...she would have no regret if she failed, the conequences would fall upon herself alone, and at this point, she already considered herself disposable. If anything, this would make the situation easier. Even if she didn't bear the strength to save Jaeger, she could at least use what was left to prevent him from doing others harm. She slowly continued on, glancing about at the quiet hallways and knowing she was ready for whatever plans this machine had in store. As ready as she'd ever be.

Theme: Arms of Shinra(DoC) www.youtube.com/watch?v=caSXxp7mp3k The Black Widow followed it's course with immaculate precision, blocking off exits wherever it was necessary to keep the target within the building, and more importantly force her into position; where something worse, than that of any weapon carried by the spider-droid, laid in what for the solo trainer. The machine was impervious to pain, impervious to fatigue; and impervious to disobedience. With it's course, objective, and target fully loaded into the memory bank, the weapon no longer required the assistance of operators, releaving a couple extra men for the cause. Set on auto-drive, the Black Widow set out to fufill its objective by any means necessary, even if it meant bringing down the mansion in the process. A secondary objective was also implanted into the mech-spider, which was to observe and record any sightings of the girl, for purposes concerning the learning of her abilities. It had not yet spent enough time tracking and encountering naomi to get any true vital data, but once she was in the Foyer, either gathering data would be much easier, or it wouldn't matter at all, at least concerning the trespasser as an individual. The data may prove somewhat useful when dealing with other Raiken, but Deepground had yet to discover that much information about the girl, therefore her true origin and genetics still remained an enigma: An enigma that could soon be unfolded should they obtain her; Alive or dead. But there was more action about to take place in the mansion other than the female human and mechanical warriors. Another intruder was about to make his move, and the answer to whether he was friend or foe to Naomi was also about to be answered: Answered in a way those of Deepground may not find amusing. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Where'd she go?" "She went down this hallway! D***! She's gotten too far ahead. We need to cut her off! Move out!" Naomi had proved to be quite the maneuverable nuisance to the fully armed DG SOLDIERS who tried to pursue her. They were suppsee to be right behind her, laying down supressive fire while covering more possible entry routes with the help of the Black Widow. Their visors indicated that she was still inside the building, following the faint traces of her heat signature. their numbers also made traversing through the mansion more tiresome, having to sometimes split up in order to move efficiently, though apparently they were not moving efficiently enough. They continued to track Naomi, until they received a rather upsetting transmission from those in the security room. "Hey! The Black Widow has detected another unauthorized presence in the building! You need to be one the look ou-...Wait, who the h*** are yo-Ahhh!" Static filled the other end of the transmission after the cry: that was never a good sign. They tried to radio back in, but nothing came back until the second man in the security room called in. "There's no-*gun fires* Ahhh!" Static once again took over on the transmission. Now they had a serious and unpredicted situation on their hands. Someone unidentified entity had somehow snuck into the mansion and taken out at leats two of their men: Who knows if...whoever this was...had gotten to anymore of their men. The commander of the small squad spat out a cuss, now having to decide to pursure the primary target or try and face down this mystery target. Without contact the the head Commander, his decision was the highest command. The Black Widow still continued to track its target, but now had no choice since the operators were now dead. Finally, he pointed towards four of his men and then pointed down the hallway they had intentions of using to follow the girl. "Follwo the target: Use everything you've go. Get her to the Foyer! The rest of you, follow me!" Without anything more than a "Yes Sir!" The four troops continued their pursuit of the female, while the others followed the commander in the opposite direction. "All units! Be advised: An unidentified subject had infiltrated Shinra Manor. He is armed and dangerous: Shoot anyone not of Deepground!" -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A lone figure walked out of the Security room, perfectly unscathed despite the gunfire heard over the trasnmission. As he stepped out, he could see that two more troopers noticed his presence. The were Blade SOLDIERS, carrying one short blade each. In regards to their order, the two men dashed frowards, letting loose their battle cry: "Hail Weiss!" The man simply smirked, taking hold of his scarlet rapier and raising it in the air, pointing towards them men, taking on their challenge. They charged, each attempting to deliver a blow, yet each blade was deflected. Without hesitation, the man retaliated further, striking upwards at one foe in a spin, and delivering a horizontal slash to the other. He struck them down in one swift movement, refusing to give them anytime to counter. Afterwards, the man began making his way firther into the mansion, towards where the comotion was taking place. He could feel more SOLDIERS rushing closer, but it didn't matter much to him: Their fate would be the same as those who laid behind him. He spoke to no SOLDIER, but he was not completely silent. "When the war of the beasts bring about the world's end, The goddess descends from the sky. Wings of light and dark spread afar; She guides us to bliss, her gift everlasting. Even I didn't think they would go to this great a length so soon. I suppose now would be the best time to pick up the pace."

A terrestrial column of disorder that threatened to engulf them both, summoned by the will of one such as himself. A strange thing it was for the Raiken Warrior to encounter this technique, he'd yet to see Aiden resort to using his dark aura willfully like this. And certainly hadn't seen him allowing it to assume control. Slight frustration was beginning to creep into his psyche upon witnessing the formation of the Adamantine Armor....or whatever it might be called now. Aiden had so much control of the dark forces...even the blade he wielded was comprimised purely of the force generally designated to corrupt. Yet he embraced the Dark Aura like any other element, collected and focused despite it's call. It followed his will and served him well, whilst Caden was still in the grips of basic frontal assault and work with the swallowtail. He wanted to halt the development in it's early stages, assuming it would take a lot of focus to prevent the transition from proceeding properly. But despite Caden's steady increase in power, and perhaps unknown to Aiden, several attempts to shift into that higher stage, some aspect of his ascension simply wasn't working. Of all days in his life; any other moment he could've drawn upon Jaeger in an instant, and been trashing the field before Aiden had a chance to draw his blade. So why had things gone awry at the time he needed it most? Jaeger was Caden, in each and every form, they were one being...Chimera Nobles of the highest order. He had to peer deep within himself to determine his answer, only to find his own spirit had betrayed him.
"...Jaeger...what's the matter? This is the time we need most to act in union, why is it that you choose..."
*Loud Roar*
"What's going on in there....Jaeger, are you listening to me?"
"........"
"What the h***....I can't understand him....answer me if you can! There is no room for failure, I will recieve your power!"
"Never would I fail....but know...it comes with greater a burden then even I...could accept."
"So be it. I accept this task. Grant me all that you possess, my friend...I will rid you of this curse, trust me."
"And so...I shall...but solely....in the name....of Lord...Jaeger...."
"Thank you my friend. I respect your will, and will ensure that it is carried out."
The boy decision was definate, and he would act upon it. He could see the conflict occuring within, he knew what sort of instability had occured within the confines of his psyche, the sources of his power and the relation between his guardians. They were all present now, surely enough to warrant the transformation into the highest of Raiken orders, but as his power resided in chaos, their communing revolved around a contest to determine which was greater. And as Jaeger was dominant, all the other lesser aspects of the fusion had taken to challenging him. Samnang, Éimhin, Stoyan, Vega, Nereus, urged on by the one element comparable to the mighty lyger.
[....Cidrah....I bear your strength...but you're mistaken if you think you can conquer me. I will be mastered by no one!!!]
Caden leapt back from the span of the dark aura pillar, obvious pain seeming to have shot through his form as he broke his dash sloppily. The boy was somewhat tartled by the intenity of retaliation....then again, he boy had not aquired much experience battling basilik, so he could not say he was as prepared as he could be. But he was making up for lack of preparation with his own ferocity, and it could almost be considered apparent if one looked closely enough in the air.
As Caden kneeled upon the ground, gathering his strength, the conflict engaging ithin was visible on the surface. A wounded Jaeger, currently engaged in battle with a massive serpentine form, wrapped around it middle, though trapped in the fierce beast's jaws. It would appear that the lyger was poisoned, though it maintained it's drive, the paranormal cobra entity eventually relinquishing its hold and granting the lyger opportunity to breathe. A mash of a broad forepaw behind the head of the snake ended the physical conflict, but the creature would still draw conflict from within. All beings were then drawn into the core lyger, including the serpent, and such was where the trouble lay.
"There it is..I have it!" Caden announced finally, though the expression on his face seemed he was more glad it was over and there was no more pain rather than having aquired the ability. He shot back up defiantly from his crouched position, hoping to avoid the energies of the adamant warrior, and began gathering his own, the proces being much faster. But the result of his efforts had differed from what he'd initially intended them to be...
A massive roar ensued as once again, the mythic chimera began to form, in the image of energies swirling around Caden as they rearranged themelves to be incorporated. But the effects of Cidrah could be seen to. The lyger seemed less benevolent than it had before...the fangs were bared to reveal longer forms similar to that of the serpent, whereas his hide was gradually beginning to be coated in hard-plate like scales. The tail reverted into a second head of a basilik at the tail, and the eyes were devoid of all life, a souless, empty blood red that spoke of nothing but malice. The only trace remaining of a form other than Jaeger or Cidrah were the wings of Vega and the single horn of Eimhin.
[About time things started pulling together....good...now Aiden will face my strength...he will come to know all that I am...]
Caden held a peaceful expression a the transformation took place, though he needed a few more seconds for it to be final. Had he not rearranged which element would be used in the final chimera, it would've been a wifter hift, but seeing as he'd hopes to add more element to the mixture, it was taking a bit more time. But it remained to be said whether Aiden had hopes of intending to stop him, or whether he had intent to continue his own transformation and deal with whatever this might bring. No matter the decision, it wa inevitable destruction would reign. The question was how much, and who would be affected.

It seemed that everywhere things were going wrong. The evasion of the SOLDIERs, the battle between Aiden and Jaeger, the conflicts resulting because of it. Holding everything together seemed imposible at the moment, she could barely keep her own head in line. The strange disturbance occuring in other regions of the hinra Mansion aren't helping her to be any more at ease.
[...Upstairs...that lifeforce...it doesn't feel like the average levels of Deepground...and the noise...deafening...!!!]
She stifled a gasp as she just barely rolled out of the way of one of the black widows cannons, recieving the shock of impact upon reverting to a upright position. She'd taken temporary cover behind a box, quite temporary as she knew both ranks would end up growing near if she dawdled too long. Indeed, she had recently been having trouble maintaining a steady pace through the building, but it was no injury that misled her steps. Consiously, she couldn't think straight, oftentimes randomly eading back into a hallway that led her cloer to the opposoing force and occassionally being impelled to reach dead-ends which would cros her a good deal of backtracking time especially when that spder rover showed up. But for now he had to think; she couldn't get by without it.
[....Is it....a battle..upstairs? I can't....get a feel for their identities....augh, please, wait until I'm finished...]
...This is going to get far worse than what happened at Nanaki's place..."
She considered her pulse for a moment and had already ruled it was beyond the point of return for the current situation.
Necesity forced her on her feet again, the dreadful shifting of the Black Widow's gears alerting her to his coming. But how much farther could it be? After running through a section of industrial grate-like materials and a series of monitored halls, he could feel the surface was gettng close. But everything, the Widow would push her away, and judging from the amount of slip-ups caused by her rebelliou mind and heart, it seemed the ground infantry units would not be far behind.
[...Don't let them push you over the ends, for all they know, you're just a simple human Naomi. Don't sink to those monster's level...the guardians must remain asleep...]
Her demeanor itelf still remained relatively calm, though she was aware of the variable posible in the ituation. She didn't like those larger energy grids she was beginning to pick up, nor the fact that oftentimes, it seemed as if the Spider mecha kept driving her towards them, but uch thoughts would be kept to herself. For now, she was to focus on the power source that apeared intent on making its way to her area, or at least where the majority of action was taking place. Smaller fields seemed to be cancelled out around it, suggesting it was fighting as it passed, but there would be no way of determining such a powerful individual would turn out beneficial to her aims or not.
The girl continued on her path, wondering into what sort of region he'd be forced next. Whatever the situation, he knew she could not permit herself to use any Raiken techniques, lest her endeavor be caught on security film. Last thing she wanted was for their people to be rediscovered...if a group of Shinra workers would even designate them as humans anyway...
