"I never intended to tell anyone, sugar. If I did... Well, I'm not sure they'd be... Have, much use of their mind. If I gave your Magi this power... I'm afraid they just might blow themselves up." Then, surprisingly, the slender girl muttered a long string of words to put her shield around her, and closed the umbrella. She set it aside with an altogether thoughtful expression, though she really had a lightheaded expression and her heart was beating in her stomach. Being off the Earth... It did her no good. If he was sensitive to her energies, though, he would have been able to tell her. Testing the skin-tight almost-invisible shield, she sat down on the deck of the boat - her back to the side. Her eyes watched nothing, but the hint of a smile was still there. "Earth-born sorceress, ay? ...Sure sounds like you, Stryk..." She didn't look around, as she was well aware of her surroundings. "Never mind about the stories, friend. I can tell you them for another time.. Perhaps once I've gained more steady footing." She smiled weakly, fiddling with a necklace that hung around her neck. "Our powers are brought from the Earth, David, so being away from the earth leaves me quite drained of energy." "First, a question, though. I do believe I've heard of Merlin having a... daughter. Do you know anything of her?"
