Peace and Love are Hard to Find (PA's Fourth Bday)

Just a little well-wishing from Starfall alumni ElementalEragon, better known as David. It'll be four years since the grand-opening in just a couple days (February 21st, mark the date). Though we don't have anything planned or any other extravagant activities on schedule for this year, Starfall's still around - and people still inhabit that island that has been featured so much in our imaginations for four years now.

No one can take true credit for Starfall. Though the idea may have been one person's, we've all built upon it since the inception of the old MSN Group. Our stories - major and minor - have shaped the citizens of our own little republic here, and the tales of each character's deeds live on in the memories of their players and those most closely associated with them.

Although Starfall's fourth will come and go with relative silence, I believe we should each take a moment to reflect on just why we've each enjoyed the site enough to still even check up on it at this point. So, please, after the break, add on some of your own kind words of the good ol' days and maybe a memory or two as well.

My memory isn't so much of a RP or any of the flaming I've been involved in, no, but instead of the people. I met two of the greatest friends I've ever had in these 'halls,' and although they aren't around this site anymore, we continue to chat through Skype almost four years later. Lex and Civ get much props for putting up with me for this long, and not showing any signs of leaving me by the wayside anytime soon.

Not to mention that, although it may not be the greatest of topics, Starfall is where I began to start thinking deeply enough to question the structure of things. 'Why do I worship this? Why must we walk like that?' It all became the basis of who I am today. And, even if no one else really liked it, I gotta say that I actually like myself - which is something I couldn't have said four years ago today. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't entirely responsible, but this (or rather, the old) site is where the gears started turning.

Wow I remember that I wanted to be Ash Ketchum, but then my greatest character was born and his story began. I met some great friends on this site, and even got close to becoming a mod at one point.
This site helped me grow to the person I am today I am alot more confident now and I will talk with more people. I was glad to join this site and I hope that we can make it alot greater.

Wow...I remember my PA times...making friends, causing drama, total craziness. I remember creating Danielle and Dora Kailyn and eventually a slew of others But my fondest memories are of Danielle, Dora, and Katie Williams. I remember establishing my fake identity of Katie Williams because I didn't want to reveal too much of my actual name. Then I caused a whole lot of other drama. I remember the people I became closest with-Civ (Formerly Vic) and Sjha. The whole relationship with Danielle and Ray was something I would look back on and smile to myself about. I guess when it comes down to things, I sort of had a bit of a crush on Sjha because of the relationship established between our characters. But I just didn't realize it and couldn't admit it to myself. The best moment for me was becoming an Assistant Manager. It made me feel great to know that anyone trusted me enough to help out in a site that was so near and dear to me.

Hehehe, you and me both. Maybe a rant and ensuing fight wasn't the most fun you could have around here, but it came close sometimes. I have a couple of the better ones saved, read over 'em for the first time in a long time when making this post.
