A mountain of giant blocks...ropes dangling from the ceiling...a storage room full of strange weighted poles and sandbags...and also rudimentary locks. Oh yes, this would be perfect, and the boy would waste no time with it. The various materials were drawn out and placed one by one, finally resulting in a structure grand enough to rival the architecture of Ninja Warrior. He didn't have to worry about its discovery however...despite the size, the course was contained in a room apart from the classes and general traffic. Training here was free to conduct as one pleased. And having become quite content with the hazardous materials he'd finally constructed, it was the time to conquer them...a gleam in his eye and a grin on his face. It was too bad he didn't have quite the same skills, at least physically, as some of the other students at the Academy, but he was going to prove he could hang with the best of them when it came to obstruction. Honestly, he didn't mind them giving a shot at his course as well...prove to them he owned in the field of agility...if nothing else. He had to have something on them...to be invited to this school and not have a distinct ability was kind of wearing on him.
"Alright, ought to get this started then. Let's see if those supposed warrior prodigies' skills are just for show."
He took his first step upon the mechanism and began to work his way through. Even if no one did show up, he'd have a fine time training himself and testing all the other systems he'd integrated. Though he had a relatively weak body, his mind was as sharp as they come, and he wouldn't hesitate to use it for undermining the efforts of his rivals.

Aven watched the boy through the coarse. "Not too bad there, how about letting one of those supposed warrior prodigies give it a try." Aven said smiling, dropping his backpack and vest on the ground. Removing his hat he stepped forward, "I prefer the term student myself though." Lucario chuckled, "Now you've gone and done it. He rarely goes at these things without his powers."True enough Aven focus, a faint light blue aura appearing around his body for a second before vanishing. "There you go I made things a little more even." It was mostly true, he wasn't completely positive on how to block the powers from his King of Hearts crest. But the only power that gave him was advanced healing, a weapon, and a shield. He figured it wouldn't really come into effect here. "By the way, my name is William Aven. I prefer to go by my last name though."

(OOC: Sorry, I'm gonna learn to simplify the length one of these days. >_<)
"Gah!!! Wha...oh...(Well that was fast, though I really should try to stop talking out loud like that.) William Aven, hmm? Nice to meet you...and Lucario too, if you don't go by an alias."
The spectacle bearing youth had dropped his guard in the time it took to admire his work, and looked to the visitor with quite a start. Shoot...barely five minutes in, and already his nerves had been stirred some. It was not for the strangeness of his audience that drew his concern however, rather the fact that he had his image shattered. Still he recollected himself swiftly, and managed to divert his attentions back to the subject at hand.
"Guess I ought to give my name in turn. It's Silas Loredo...Silas being the call name, though I guess you could call me Dungeon Master too if you wanted. Oh, and sorry for getting carried away back there with the titles...the students around here just seem to fight as well as their Pokemon. Wasn't really sure what else to call them..."
Silas appeared to gain a bit more of his characteristic confidence the more he spoke, recalling the complex contraptions he often used to train his Pokemon, and more recently, himself. Designing for humans was kind of fun, and even though he tested most of them on himself only, it might be pretty cool to send some others on it. Especially an individual as curious as this Aven with that weird aura-like thing about him. The Lucario looked as if it might hold some points of interest too...seeing as it wasn't often you could find Pokemon capable of human speech.
"...Well hey, if you wanna give it a shot, be my guest. Might be a little lackluster considering what I had available to build it with, but I'm pretty sure it can give anyone a good workout...
As for making things fair, seems like you're suggesting some competition, but what's that blue energy field you had around you in the first place? I dunno if any handicaps could make this fair if you're an alien..."
He was just joking around as he spoke, but in truth, he did have some course designs hidden back home for actual aliens. Just had to stay under wraps until he could pilfer acceptable building materials. But for the moment, he was more interested in what powers Aven had to restrain to make this fair, and exactly what that blue energy meant. Surely this student couldn't be an aura user...or an alien for that matter, could he? Of course it was going to be today's objective to find out.
(Hahaha...awesome...a chance to compete with an alien and his Lucario. Definitely a good chance to gather research...)

((It's cool Kuma, don't worry. I like the longer posts. And sorry for taking so long to reply.)) Aven laughed and shook his head, "I'm no alien, I just have powers. And some of my powers augment my physical abilities, it takes effort to suppress them." He sighed and stepped up to the course. He took his first steps on the course he made the first few obstacles look easy, he was in extremely good shape for a normal human. Aven started having trouble half way through the course, but he made it through until the end before he failed. Standing and dusting himself off Aven laughed. "I like it Silas." Trainer and pokemon looked at each other and nodded. "So you made this from things you just found lying around huh? What else can you do?" He wanted to learn more before making the offer, before he even broached the subject. Aven took a breath and released his power again, a large Aura covering him for several seconds before disappearing again. "Sorry, like I said it's hard to keep it down like that. My control over my Aura isn't as high as it could be." He laughed and began examining the course.

"Uh-huh...not an alien. Well I think I'm going to have to look into what these augumented powers are...sound like they'd help me out when I have to flee my subjects."
The boy voiced this with a youthful, comical tone, characteristic of his age. But in truth, he was deathly serious. He really needed help when running from some of the more aggressive, and strange, characters that hung around the school. He might be quick for his age, but considering the Pokemon, humans, and unidentifed beings he'd seen, he needed to be a lot quicker. Curse his stature...
(That guy is pretty good...maybe it won't matter if I didn't reinforce that last section all the way? Hopefully...
I think I did, but didn't I use the pole to finish the rappeling sect...oh geez...)
Before long however, the verdict appeared that it was ound enough. But he couldn't help but think some of the wobbliness obstructed Hiei a little. But still...it made the obstacle more difficult. He'd design a better course incorporating more balance challenges next time.
"Huh? Oh yeah, thanks. I kinda just picked the storage closet and dragged some stuff from the island ruins. Of course, when I can seriously weld steel and get the computers moving, it gets much more complex. But you did really good there, it was still tough, if a bit primitive.
I'm pretty much a mastermind with the hands...can build most anything with the time and the money. Science is my middle name, but I'm not opposed to a battle or two either. Pokemon are one of the major subjects I study, though apparently, humans can be more interesting than I thought."
His own ideals not to chat Hiei into slumber seemed to cut the boy's words short, though Hiei's next action with his aura instantly revived his will. "That energy you're using...you called it Aura...is this along the same lines as the type the Pokemon use? I never thought the same skills could be acquired by a human...
Oh, and don't worry about shocking me. I'd rather come to know something I don't understand rather than cower in fear of it...methaphorically speaking of course."

((Sorry it's so short... I got writers block.)) "Well Lucarios use Aura from the moment they evolve. I learned a lot from him while trying to learn to control my powers. A few humans can use Aura, I happen to be one of the ones who can." Aven chuckled and shook his head. "You want to study these abilities? I'd be happy to provide you with a subject."

"Research subject? Yeah, sure, if you don't mind of course."
The boy was rather shocked by this offer but he wasn't going to turn it down, that was certain. Finding a human with this great a degree of control of aura was quite the discovery. Apparently the rumors surrounding PA were proving to be far more than rumors...Silas had surely picked the right place to investigate. But in truth, he was equally surprised by Aven's willingness to cooperate, despite being openly called a subject worthy of research. Not many people Silas had come across appeared happy at the thought of being called such. But at least he wasn't a mad scientist by any means, so he'd give Aven ample compensation for his assistence. As much as a thirteen year old kid who looked nine could give anyways.
"Yhat'd be great, but I think I've got to test you at a better place and with something more reliable than a course and a stopwatch. I wanna know how much force this aura is capable of, and I'd probably need to prepare the place in advance to do it. If you've got other Pokemon skilled in it, I'd be glad to have them over, or anyone who you'd like to have a fitness evaluation, so to speak..."
His scientist's mind was coming to him again, and it was hard to openly reveal that he was excited about the prospect of research. Though it would probably be hard to get approval for such an evaluation from the school itself. The meeting would have to take place somewhere more discreet.
"If we do, how about we meet up at Avenue A sometime to conduct the study? You know, seeing as the place is in ruins and all, it probably won't cause too much trouble if we smash some stuff. I'll bring the equipment, you bring whoever you feel inclined to bring I guess. Wouldn't hurt to researh the abiities of the Pokemon in the area...
This being on your schedule too. I'm pretty much free whenever, so if you had a spare hour or two, or could split it up over a couple of days."
With that said, his goal was set. He'd catalogue the abilities and potential of the Academy Students ell before he was chased back off of the island. This was too god to pass up, an encounter with Aura, and perhaps a chance to establish his own little base in Avenue A. At least then he wouldn't have to worry about shifting his equipment about so much. Nosy onlookers caused so many problems...

Aven laughed, "As long as I'm not in the middle of teaching a class I'm free. In my team it's just me and Lucario. How about a small taste now?" Aven took a deep breath, closed his eyes and let the flood gates open. His Aura burst from his body his muscles tensed the bandage wrapped around his right arm fluttered slightly before becoming motionless again. His clothes however didn't stop moving, his hat flew off and his hair stood on end. Aven was careful to keep his Aura away from Silas. His eyes opened and the aura dissipated, his eyes were glowing a bright blue and his clothes hadn't stopped moving. Slowly his eyes dimmed to their normal light brown, and his clothes and hair stopped moving. "So, how'd you like that show?" Aven and Lucario both grinned.
