Jack let his mind wander over the surrounding minds. Any one he touched that recoiled, he didn't push. No sense in trying to force his way in when they could easily be stronger than himself telepathically. The thoughts were mostly pointless, many of them were focusing on the up coming party. Emerald Club? He could sneak in their rather easily if the party required an invite... Maybe he would crash the party after all. Might be fun. Though he doubted he would have to sneak in. Jack leaned back in his chair, yeah he would go to the party. He thought smiling, he had recently learned some magic tricks. This seemed like the perfect chance for Jack to test them out. First he needed to buy a deck of playing cards.

"Hehe, I see. Looks like you guys could have some wild parties with the kids you got running around here. Sounds like fun!" The boy replied with a grin. He glanced around the area, scanning everyone else for no apparent reason. This was sometimes a sign that Vince was running out of things to say and that the conversation was nearing an end, which was the case in this scenario. "Well I'll catch ya later then! I'm uhhh...done with my classes and gotta catch up on some work before tonight!" The boy turned and gave Desiree one last wave of the hand before glancing down toward the Glaceon and pointing his finger forward. "Squadallah! We're off!" He exclaimed as he initiated a sprint.
One could obviously see the humiliation in the Glaceon's face as she let out a sigh before giving chase.

| "Oy....she just never quits, does she?"
Caden could only chuckle under his breath as he noted the first line or words, then cover his face in disbelief as the second followed. First she rushes in his face to scold him, then instantly forgets about taking offense and invites him to a party? How ridiculous....but for some reason...oddly interesting. Her behavior more so than the party, but perhaps it deserved attention too considering she'd asked nicely. Caden's sense of "nicely" seemed to differ from that of most people however.
"Alright, alright, take it easy. And what's with the snarly bit? I haven't done anything to you, have I?
....
Well, I'm pretty sure I have a choice, but it probably won't affect your opinion on whether I should come. I guess I could tolerate it for a little while without having to slough off my epidermis. But what's in it for me, assuming I accept this little offer of yours?"
He wasn't exactly sure how to reply in a manner she'd understand, but perhaps using Vyze to transfer the thoughts directly would work. Conveying the tone of his words would probably turn out quite useful too, as if the humorous air was ignored, it could be taken as a cold insult. Caden's sarcasm was ever present though, so Tsuki would probably know the nature of his response without Vyze's assistance.
Caden had a feeling he wasn't going to be able to worm his way out of this one though. At least without getting chewed out for his negligence later... |
| Silas could only smile at Ayumi's reaction, quite pleased to think she wasn't aware of his occasional surveys. It wasn't as if he was specifically looking to find her data, he'd just happened to come across it while preforming a routine check-up and it seemed to take his notice. And being a scientist, he kept track of anything that proved to hold interest somehow.
"Oh, no worries, really. I' not using your data to stalk you or anything, just routine stuff. Besides, you ought to be more worried about me scrounging through your dorm on weekends than you are about me stealing your personal information...
And I wasn't asking who the party host was, I was wondering how you knew them...but I guess it doesn't matter. Long as you have the passes."
He scratched his head again at this point, knowing he'd have to word hings perfectly if he wanted to avoid being punted out of the building as usual. Her additional lyrics seemed to bring confidence to him for a response however, and so he answered quite happily, even though he had added a good amount of mischief to his reply.
"Girlish charm huh? I see, you know how to work the field, huh? Maybe you could show me some of those skills later?
...A lady who really knows what she has doesn't need to say it though...
(Whoa ho ho!...Where'd she pull that one from...maybe we'll get some entertainment here finally...)
Silas had indeed picked up on the edge of words she trailed out while describing her technique, and apparently so had the young Farrah. As quite apparently, she had gone from absent-mindedly swinging her feet on the bench to transfixing Ayumi with a searching gaze, the livid crimson having flared for a moment, then subsequently settling. Oh no, Ayumi wasn't getting her with that one...what did she need to be worried over girlish charm? Farrah had everything she ever wanted already anyways...
"I suppose that's true, or you could use actual talent to earn what you want. It might be easier to flirt...but I prefer to take a route that leaves me some degree of pride other than my borrowed mask..."
She smiled a bit as she said this, and returned to her absent minded behavior. Two could play at getting indirect if she wanted to dance. And Farrah was quite alright with getting plainly direct if the situation called for it.
After all, she was every bit as cute as Ayumi was, definitely. No reason to think why not...was there? Nah, she just had age and height on her side, no reason to get worried. Seemed she'd be reciting this over and over in her head for a while though.
"Ah, anyways, so what are we going to have to do to get in on this party situation? Unless you'd be so kind as to offer the deal out of the kindness of your heart..." |
