Weather: N/A
Description: A labyrinthine series of tunnels that in past years provided ore for much of the continent. Even given the time it was worked, the stores of minerals and metals never seemed to let up, and it was a lucrative business for the Temujin family for several generations. However, in the prime of their success, a massive earthquake shook the tunnels, and collapsed much of the infrastructure. With damage considered too extensive to be practical for restoration, and other viable business opportunities within reach, the mines were expected to be abandoned.
However, in an unexpected move by the youngest of the Temujin family, the proposal was made that he be allowed to utilize the assistence of the early native Pokemon, commonly encountered when the mine was first excavated. Though lost to the intense development in early stages, similar species were found in neighboring countries, and imports soon replenished the dwindling populations. With their senses attuned to the motions of the earth, suitability with the enviornment, and great strength to aid with bringing the valuable minerals from deeper quarters, the mine again became a success. The decendants of those early imported Pokemon now thrive in the mine alongside the workers, and have established wild populations in the areas in the areas where the tunnels have yet to be regularly worked.
The mine has Pokemon of a variety of experience levels, that seem to go up the deeper you head into the mines. Therefore, you should stick to the surface tunnels if inexperienced. The lowest levels appear to harbor some truely massive beasts, and personal sources of light will be needed to traverse such levels. Ground, rock, steel, and fighting type Pokemon are commonly found here. Don't expect much in the way of recovery or capture items, but evolution stones, certain stat raising vitamins, and other odd treasures can be found.
