Jack smiled, Aven had really out done himself when he made these swords. He only knew this because he had been going over Aven's memories, the b*stard had implanted a telepathic seed in his mind. As the days passed, Jack got more and more of Aven's memories. Lucky for Jack, these memories also included Aven's sword training. The two men were quickly becoming equal swordsmen. So far Jack was partial to the short sword. It was easy to conceal under his jacket if he needed to and it was easy to wield in a hallway. He had been training with it for days now, and with the help of the murderer's memories he was getting good. The tree limbs surrounding his training area being proof of such. Jack was also getting better with his nanomachines, he was now able to use his lighting abilities four times a day instead of three. The trick was to hold a charge for as long as he could. The longer he held it, the more his nanomachines could store at any given time. It wasn't uncommon to see Jack with a faint trace of electricity coursing around his body these days. Jack had even created new ways to use his lightning abilities, in partial thanks to Aven's memories. Jack could focus it around his body more precisely now, he had developed a new way to fire it. Instead of a single bolt, fire it in multiple bolts. Less powerful but with a higher hit radius. His control over it had improved to the point that he could focus it through his swords with greater ease. Almost without thinking about it. He had also began developing telepathy, he wasn't as strong as Aven but he was strong enough. Jack's telepathy was strong enough that he was able to sense the arrival of someone else before his nanomachines picked up the motion. His nanomachines had a radius of fifty feet, his telepathy had a radius of roughly sixty five feet. It wasn't until the new person came into range of his nanomachines that he recognized the person as Surreal.

Running through trees.... Always good to get frustration out. Emotions in general were lost but then... She heard someone. Someone... Someone familiar. And she was approaching them, fast. Surreal slowed, but it wasn't long till she came to the clearing and jerked to a stop on a high branch. Her long black hair was let out from its usual french braid, curling and swaying with her movement. Surreal took a quick moment to grab the side of the tree and balance herself.
"...Snake? Ah, it is you." She smiled brightly. Surreal was wearing a pair of thick leather boots to protect her feet, an auburn longsleeved top with her trademark 'low cut' neckline and denim shorts. She waved from atop the branch, before taking a deep breath and jumping right off. It took a few seconds, but she landed lightly on the ground. "Wish I could say I was happy to see you, but I saw what you're doing to poor William. You and I shouldn't break him too quickly, should we?"

"I don't care. If he hadn't run away I would have killed him there. As it stands he ran. I didn't compensate for his inhuman speed, I won't make the same mistake twice." Jack sheathed the short sword, the sheath on his back, the hilt hanging by his hip. He pulled his jacket back on, concealing the knife at the back of his neck. He had trust issues. "Besides, last thing his memories said about you, you could do no wrong in his book Surreal SaDiablo. He would forgive you anything, and forgive himself nothing." Though Jack would never admit it, he was starting to understand Aven's mind more and more. He saw several of the dreams the man had at night over the lives he had ended. It didn't change his mind however, "Know thy enemy." One of his favorite quotes. "Break him all you want. That won't change his final fate... Take your time however, I have training to do and abilities to master." One of his lightning manipulation abilities gave him tunnel vision, and with Aven's speed he would be able to counter and kill Jack easily. He needed to find a way to counteract the tunnel vision, he just didn't know how yet. Something wasn't right about this conversation... "Why would YOU want HIM hurt anyway? Last I checked you wanted me to back away. Not that I would if God himself came down and told me to back away." Jack showed her more respect than most by not invading her mind. He simply waited.

"He killed men who were just following orders. Or whatever they were doing. I still see him below you, Snake." She nodded once, before tilting her head at him. Catlike. Leonine. Yet still, more natural. "If you had invaded my mind, you would have figured out I'm not exactly... Your average teenage girl." She smirked to herself. "But if you're smart, you would have figured that out by now... I mean, what average teenage girl can leap from that high and land perfectly?"
She trailed off, before standing up straight and brushing herself down. "I guess I'm not making much sense now, huh? ...But really, if you wanted some help with that tunnel vision, I could give you a hand..." She trailed off, grinning her sassy smirk at him. The mischevious, poisonous smirk. "I've fixed that before. I know how to do it."

Jack laughed and shook his head, "We were their to kidnap him and one of his teachers. We were going to force them to teach us about their abilities so we could duplicate them. So he defended himself for unknown reasons." He couldn't help but laugh again, "You think I'm better than him? Very wrong. I killed on order, if someone said shoot, I shot. No questions asked. If someone told Aven to kill, he questions it. The only time he has killed without question, is when Deepground invaded the original Startfall. Neither of us are saints, but he is no devil." Jack laughed again, this time at himself. He was truly coming to understand Aven, too bad it didn't stop him from wanting to kill him. Jack sat on a stump, and looked up at Surreal. He didn't seem surprised by her knowing what was going on in his mind. "It sounds like an intriguing offer, how would this work?" He asked truly interested. Maybe this could be the answer, or maybe he wouldn't like it and would find a way to do it himself. Either way he liked to have options.

Surreal yawned. Wide, excinuating it as if he was stupid. Jack was boring her. Turning away she tilted her head to one side and then to the other, analyzing the distance between her and the lowest branch. It was high, but... Surreal flashed up the tree, climbing easily and quickly until she came onto the lowest branch. "If somebody says shoot, I tell them to get screwed. I choose my clients. And if someone pays better than the others... Well, they get to specify how the person dies." She leaned forward on the branch.
"Bit of demon science." Magic. "Bit of elven science." Magic. "It'll only take a few seconds..." She taunted him with it, like the child dangling a piece of string infront of a cat. But would the cat take her bait?

Clarity of perception would definitely be useful, "How does it work? Do I see everything, or does it just stop be from having tunnel vision? What other affects would it have?" Jack liked to know what he was getting himself into. He didn't like people messing with his body without him knowing what was going on. He was paranoid like that. Same concept as all the weapons hidden in his house, he had more than just trust issues. He had enemies. He would rather have them and not need them, than need them and not have them. Jack reflected on his last encounter with Aven... He needed to improve more than his tunnel vision. At his current abilities he would be flattened and tossed to the side by Aven. Jack just wasn't fast enough to counter his moves, or to even follow them for that matter. Maybe he could find a way to do it after all... Maybe he could find a way to increase his abilities with lighting, and his physical abilities at the same time...

"I zap you. It's only a small jolt, but you see everything... Might be a bit dizzying for a couple of hours. You might feel a little high - but it should work out rather well. No other side affects..." She liked being above him. When she was higher than a person, it made her feel superior. More powerful. Not that she wasn't already more powerful then most people, but it was still nice. Surreal sighed impatiently and harshly, growling just the slightest bit.
"Now, do you want my help or not? I know we'd make an..." she used a sultry tone, "...awesome, team, but I'm not gonna help you if you don't want it."

Jack nodded, "Do it then." Was all he said as he stepped forward. If he could see everything, this would vastly improve his perifial vision. He already had an edict memory, so if he saw something in his perifial vision that needed remembering he was safe. If he could see everything, that would be one less thing off of his mind. All that was left for him now was to increase his abilities and lightning limit. He already knew how to do those, so it was just a matter of time.
